Which 4X12 speakers for my Bogner XTC

I am currently running my new XTC 101B with my stock Marshall cab with G12T-75s. It sounds pretty good, but I think I can do better. Which speakers are you guys using with your 101Bs?

I played one with Vintage 30s and another with Celestion Lead 80s. I don't like either of those speakers but they sure sounded good through the bogner.

Yep. I've never been a fan of the V30's, however, the Bogner 4x12 with V30's has been the best cab I've owned. Kills with the Ecstasy. As a matter of fact, I've never run a head through it that didn't sound great. Really :thumbsup:
 
I think G12-65's would kill with the Bogner! I haven't tried them with a 101B but theyre kinda like a Greenback but improved allround. Better low end handling, smoother top end, and more musical midrange!
 
I've heard so many good things about the 65s but I've never played them. I might have to check em out.
 
I prefer 2 v30s mixed with 2 other speakers, EVM12LS in my case, but there are a lot of less expensive speakers to choose form. It sounds great with just v30s, but better with x pattern IMO.
 
Anyone ever try Celestion Golds with their Bogner?
 
I may be the odd man out here, but I've always thought the 101B sounded too dark using all V30's. My thoughts were exactly the same with the Uberschall as well. I like using a mix of 75's with V30's.
 
I like101B best with the matching Bogner 4x12 cab with V30's...perfectily suited imho..
 
I have to agree with V30's being my fave, although there weren't many speakers it didn't sound excellent through.
 
I preferred greenbacks, but v30's sounded better with that amp than most others.

I love my ecstasy with my Cameron 4X12 with all golds in it. i also really like it with my Bogner 4X12 with 2 h30's and 2 V30's, but I like my Cameron soooo much more.
 
Ted Weber "Stan Spec" Speakers or Scumback LHDC "Pre-rola clones".....both sound great with the Ecstasy......
