Which Amp Should I Get?

Mesa Mark IV.

Tighter than a nun's c*nt, lotsa mids, not mushy whatsoever, and can be had for cheap (unlike a nun's c*nt...)

Fortin Bones, tightest hi gain ever. I usually buy old stuff, but if I was going to buy a new amp, that would be the one ;)

I just got rid of my Savage 120, it was just too compressed.
I would try another one. I spent a great deal of time with two of them a few months back and "compressed" was not a characteristic of either one of them..."tight" was though.

did you ever concider a Randall MTS amp? Lots of tight metal tones to be found there. they really are nice amps.

+1. I was confused when I saw the that post...Savages are not very compressed at all. :dunno:

Fortin Bones

Mako Dorado

Splawn Quickrod

Peters Chimera

+1 VHT Deliverance

i have yet to know how gainy the Deliverence is... in the vien of the CLs or UL?

Actually, another vote goes to Peters Chimera/Hydra. LOVE the Peter's amps, amazing amps right there

two came to mind:

VHT Deliverance

Egnater Mod 50 or 100 with SL2X module

Come to think of it, you want to be a little bit more specific.

There are a lot of amps that can fit your bill.

Both a Mark and a VHT can get what you asked for, but they are very different sounding.

VHT Pittbull Ultra Lead! Own it, love it. Ridiculous tight, tons of gain, crisp and clear. Great for rhythm and solos. Clean chan is pristine, rhythm is glorious and the lead chan slays!

Haven't played a VH4 but from the clips I heard I'd say it's a contender as well! Same with the Twin Jet.

Been a long time since I played a UL or CL and then only trying it out in a store.
I can't see anyone needing more gain than the Deliverance offers. With the voicing switch in more I leave the gain at about 1/2 or less and the voicing knob at 3/4. Has a ton of gain and cleans up real nice. Switch in less sounds more vintage. still plenty of gain available.

Aloha, Rob.

Thanks for the great help Rob ! really appreciate it ... looks like i have a new baby to add on for my collection here   have heard the gain structure is more unpolished (raw) than the CLs ?

I just got a Twin Jet yesterday and it's insane! Very tight and more aggressive than past Ubers. A lot more open and the 1st channel is very nice as well. The string to string definition that the KT88's provide helps keep it from mushing out.

Man, I can only buy one, but I can't freaking decide!

I know that each one of the amps has got to be awesome, and I probably couldn't go wrong with any of them, but of course I just want the very best one for me.
