TimeFactor best delay pedal ever made! :D

We shall see after me and Amplifire compare the Timefactor against the Timeline. After listening to what people have said after doing the same comparison i went with the Timeline.

Hmmm ill await the post!

For set it and forget it;Carbon copy,tc.vintage,t-rex replica, deluxe memoryman..If youre adventurous; timefactor, nova delay, and the reigning champ for the rack is still the 2290!

DD3 or Digitech Digidelay. The Digi actually works in front too. Plus the echos trail of when you turn it off....very cool!

You mean like spill over? Very cool indeed.

Yep....the DD3 is nice, but when you turn it off, the delays quit immediately. The Digi's echos just fade off, I like that alot! PLus it has tap tempo.....yay!

Boss RV-3

Sounds good to me, it's cheap, it's easy to dial in, and it has reverb too.

I saw your post about trading for one of those. They had one at the local used gear store for $140 but it was beat and rusty. I gave it a try, because I've been wanting something cheap with a good reverb and delay as well. I liked it alot but I like my gear to be in good condition. So I decided to get one on ebay. I saw in the completed transactions prices go all over the board. One went for about $270. The first one I bid on went for $360. :scared: I ended up getting the next one for about $160. Still pricey but it was in great shape.

I've had the same delay pedal forever...Ibanez DE-7. Echo mode rivals some of the most expensive echo/delay pedals i've tried out. Never felt the need to switch. I would like to get it rehoused someday, but it's never failed me yet.

I have the Boss DD-20 but, I'm not that happy with it. It's a versatile pedal however, it just doesn't sound that great to me. I usually run delay in the loop so it sounds better with high-gain sounds. The DD-20's sound-on-sound function is pretty cool, though.

I used to have an Ibanez DE-7 that sounded better for just regular old delay.

I think I might try a DD-3/5/7, Carbon Copy, Timefactor, or Nova.

However, the best delay sound I've ever heard came from one of those Fulltone Tube Tape Echos....but they are crazy expensive and a pain to use....like $1,200!!!!

If you like the Fulltone stuff I would not bother with a DD anything and look at the HK Replex. I think Amplifier has one for sale.

Yeah, I've seen those, I'm not a professional player and not endorsed by anyone and not making a living out of music. I'm sure the Fulltone Tube Tape Echos is one hell of a delay pedal but I couldn't justify buying it. I'll take that 1200$ and get another guitar or amp instead.

I have to try the Carbon Copy, the Digitech and some Boss delay pedals and see from there. My guess is that Ibanez will be hard to find. Basically I want a simple delay that will have minimal to none tone sucking - although they all affect tone to a certain point. Thx guys for all replies, I see a lot of folks using those Boss delay pedals. I used to have a G-Major which was stellar for my needs, but I sold all that rack stuff to be able to pick my guitar in one hand and the amp and the other when I go gigging. Trying to stay "simple but effective". And it's less gear to haul.

I have a DD-6 at the moment. It's okay. My main beef with delay pedals is that I like the delay to trail off when I turn off the pedal. So many delay pedals don't do that. The Ibanez DE-7 is probably my favorite cheap delay pedal, but it doesn't trail.

Thanks for the plug Scott! I am selling a Replex if you're interested. It's a killer tube driven echo at the fraction of the cost of a Fulltone TTE
