Hi, I am looking to buy a versatile amp to practice at bedroom volume and for some home recording.
About me: I like to play rock, hard rock and a bit of heavy/trash metal. I like the crunchy rock tones of bands such Social Distortion/Clutch/Volbeat and also a bit more heavy tones such as Metallica/Seputura/Pantera/Slipknot.
Below are my some of the things i noted on the orange amps that might suit me.
1) Dark terror - Too aggressive tone. Might NOT suite me
2) Dual terror - Great crunchy rock tone, loved it. But I was not happy with its gain. Is there anyway to get more gain from this amp? or how would I dial a more heavier tone on this amp?
3) Jim Root Terror - I have quickly tried this in a store. Very happy with the gain but I am not sure if i liked the tone as much as Dual terror.
4) OR15 - Havn't tried it yet.
Basically, I would like an amp that I can dial in and mimic various tones of a wide variety of rock/metal bands. What would you think would be the best choice for me?
Thanks
