Clearly, you haven't played the 80s Marshall Vintages. But, not many have. They're more rare than any other Celestion not named G12M20 from 1966-67.
So, you get a free pass. I've had a few Mesa cabs, both Standard and Traditional from the early 2k range and they are great...with Mesas. Not so much with other amps.

Dad’s got one in a 4010 I’ve been wanting to play on.

I just installed a Classic Lead 80 into my vertical 2x12 with a V30 on the bottom and it sounds incredible.
Don't know how it would sound in a 4x12 though. Be my guinea-pig?

The Marshall Vintages are on another level. Creamy, warm, cutting, and aggressive. They are the king of V30. I like Mesa V30’s with my SLO. Greenbacks are better. I need to try some EVH Greenbacks with it.
