Answered Drop top but it really depends, there are aspects of both that I like and a few aspects that I don't.

i thought the same as you until I saw a couple of really sick quilt tops from suhr with pickguards. At first I thought, why cover all that beautiful quilt but it just friggin works. Im a sucker for highly figured quilt...

Dan, do you still have your Drop Top? If so, it is a no brainer to go the Classic route. I love having both. However, a basswood body with a maple top is alluring to me also. Decision!![]()
