In politics it's perfectly normal and healthy behavior to wish death to the other side . A truce would mean to stop wishing death on the other side and I don't think anybody would be comfortable with doing that.

I'm far more concerned about new members thinking they're going to start a movement to get rid of/silence people they don't like or agree with than I am concerned about some people being assholes to each other. It's amazing that someone would come from another forum and complain that they weren't lenient enough there only to come here and complain that it's too lenient. No one is stopping anyone from leaving.
