I was driving down the road the other day (sounds like a song intro) and I got to thinking about how awesome the "Big Four" bands were and their impact of all hitting their stride around 86'-87'. There is always a conversation about who would have been a contender for the other band in the mix had it been "Big Five" instead. Was curious what you guys think.
For me, hands down it would be Testament. Bay Area, bad ass riffs, great solos and Chuck Billy's voice is perfect for this type of music. Some other bands thrown around have been "Overkill", "Exodus", "Death Angel" and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Who do you think would be a good fit and even can be a newer band just to make things interesting. Doesn't matter how many albums, their sound, etc. I'm curious why different members like certain bands.
