I've been tempted but just like all of the previous moddlers I'm sticking with my amps. I really only need two solid sounds, rythmn and lead. All of these other options just do my head in. Meh call me old fasioned. Anyone else think the same way?

I'm with you on this, I'm always impressed with some of the frankly amazing tones people and getting out of these modellers now. But for me I just don't need that versatility or the options, especially live.

My JVM still has my tone everytime I turn it on, and I think even if I had all these options I would end up dialling the Kemper or Axe to a similar tone. For home studios, or for people that love tweaking I imagine they are perfect, but I am much more of a plug and play guy with amps.

Amen brother! I can't even deal with some of the Mesa products. Had a road king for 6 months. I spent 5 moths constantly tweaking, turning knobs, flipping switches etc.....spent the next month trying to sell it. Went back to my 81 jcm800 2204.....set it and forget it. Couldn't have been happier.....till I discovered the brown eye. Th BE 100.... Now I'm in my own little rock and roll heaven.

I hear you, my amp stays on the same settings other than a litlle volume adjustment. I do flip my pickups around a bit and that's it. The BE is a fine amp, I have one of the earlier Marsha's.

Not for me, even if it was $500. No interest. I'll stick with my tube amps.

I not, mainly because I'm already on that other wagon (the one known for serving Kool-Aid - "Oh Yeah!!!!" :D ).

I'm a set it and forget it guy as well. I haven't touched the controls on my JTM45 in years. I get all my tones from my Stratocaster and a couple pedals.

I'm with ya....
At least for the moment
When the one arrives that everyone unanimously agrees is as good as tubes, I'm probably in :aww:

I've already joined the dark side and I'm enjoying the Kemper. Having said that, I STILL like my real amps. I use my gear for recording only...I don't play out any more. I absolutely love, love the sound of my real amps in the studio BUT I just can't for the life of me capture that sound to "tape." My studio is very small and I think that plays a huge role in the issues I have getting my sound recorded. The tones I get from recording the Kemper always, so far, sound way better than my attempts at recording my real amps. For recording, the Kemper works for me.

I would jump on the Kemper bandwagon, but I don't have the funds to do so or a real need (not like that has stopped me from buying gear before).

I wanted to and came very close but at the end of the day I stick to a limited number of tones so at least for me an amp is simpler.

And sometimes in life I just get a little tired of everything having an operating system. We get letters in the mail now reminding us to download the latest updates for the software in my wife's car.

Sometimes it's nice to just flip a switch and go...

I've went away from real amps a few times and tried to make a go with the Axe....the last run only lasted a week.
I'm too impatient and just want it to sound right from the opening bell.
Sticking with amps from now on.

The axe always felt disconnected and not as alive as a real amp even with FRFR, etc.

I'm not. i play punk and hardcore music. Think Madball, Sick of it all, Agnostic front and bad religion. I only need 1 sound/tone and that would be heavy. My Slash sig Jubilee covers my needs. Sometimes i boost it a little. That is all, Carry on.

I'm waiting for the Kemper that will have a tube-driven preamp, tube-driven power amp and no digital signal path or operating system.

Could be a long wait...

I really dig what people are getting out of the kemper, and have thought about it a couple times, but i would have to off my marshall jmp, mesa markIII, and my egnater head to get one. Not worth that for me..
