Why don't more people play Parkers?

I have had a Parker in the past I think it was the nightfly. I enjoyed the guitar but I started to noticed no sustain which bothered the hell out of me. Maybe I had a bad one, got rid of it after that. Also the looks thing takes some getting used to.

To me, simple is better.
I'm usually like that to some degree, but my keyboard skills are shit and I love synths too, hence why I'd go for midi! :)

Huge image problem. It just does not capture any genre or appeal to any particular musician. Maybe some studio savvy player but to gig that…….eeek in my very lowly opinion. I have zero desire to play that even if it was given to me.
Brilliant!

They have guitars in the 3K range and guitars in the 400-500 range, but nothing in between?

Maxxflies without the reinforced necks? Dunno. They kinda do the premium stuff, then got some imports. They can't really do the thing I love them most for on import I guess. Tbh I have no idea what the cheap range are like (other than I've heard good things), but for me Parker are all about the extra resonant bodies that need the carbon fibre reinforcement, else it's not the reason I love Parkers to begin with.

Adriana Belew is a legend and I love those videos, but to be frank all the reasons I love their sound is along way from his! His notes on playability ring very true though.

I'm finding this post very interesting. Quite eye opening. I knew lots of people didn't like the way they looked but I thought the newer maxxflies looked pretty normal, so interesting to find they're still fugly in many peoples eyes. In someways I find the fact that something looks odd because it's the technically best design for its purpose (resonance) kinda makes me like it more. But I guess that's like modern architecture. Some modern building generate huge amounts of live and hate in equal measure. I kinda like the polarising effect. Maybe we should start a conversation about religion? LOL. :)
