Curious how you guys do it?
Dave Friedman said he wires a 4x12 parallel series.
He said he prefers greenbacks on top and vintage 30's on bottom.

Was just curious how you guys prefer to do it?

Here's a good thread that includes pictures of how to wire a 4x12 - https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/thre...-their-4x12-wiring-to-parallel-series.296189/

I have a Marshall 1960A where I have swapped speakers a few times—G12-T75s. Swamp Thangs, Governors, Marshall Vintage 30s, etc. If you mix speakers, keep in mind that more efficient speakers will sound louder. Also, if you are mixing speakers, the cab will disperse sound differently if you put them in an X pattern versus two on top/two on the bottom. IMO, you have to try out for yourself and see what you like. Friedman puts the Greenbacks on top because they are slightly less efficient than the V30s and they also don't have that high-mid frequencty that some don't like about V30s.

Thanks.
Really appreciate the response.
I'll be installing them tomorrow.
I'll check out that thread...

I purchased Vintages 30's and Greenbacks thru GC. Blues Rock set I think they called it.
