So my place of work is doing this find the Christmas Owl (whatever the fuck that is) game. It's one of those follow the clues games where clues are hidden around and one clue points to the next.
I have some decorations hanging outside my office and they decided to hide one of the clues in a stocking. These are my personal decorations I brought from home. I'm irritated because no one bothered to ask my permission to use my personal belonging for their game. Now I have everyone coming around fucking with my stuff looking for the clue.
In all likelihood I would have said sure go ahead and hide it there, but they didn't have the curtesy to ask first. The way I was raised you don't use/touch someone else's stuff without permission no matter how trivial the item is. Is it unreasonable to expect the same consideration shown to me? In my eyes it would be like having people over at your house, someone says I heard you play an instrument, and next thing everyone's fucking around with all your guitars.
So would this bother any of you, or is being annoyed with this a little irrational?
