You should absolutely file a complaint, and whomever says otherwise is dead wrong. I just had a Mark III++ Coliseum delivered last week, and the LAST fucking thing I would want is for the driver to sign for me, and leave it at my doorstep begging to be stolen, especially during a downpour. You’re paying extra for the signature requirement specifically so this does NOT happen, and so they can be held accountable. What happens when he signs for it, leaves the package, and some POS steals it? Good luck with that claim!

Exactly!! Thats the whole point of this topic. Signature required so package doesn’t get left and possibly stolen. If it was stolen OP is out of luck, it was signed for right? How is that not wrong. File a complaint, and next time pick it up at the terminal or UPS store because your driver is a lazy fuck just like the ones that say you are a complainer.

They are legally allowed to sign for consumers during a covid pandemic. Before the pandemic anyone could sign for a package including a neighbor, I don’t hear you complaining about that as well?

They are legally allowed to sign with the recipients consent. They can also sign if the recipient does not want to sign or refuses the signature. In the event that they show up and drop off your stuff in a place where it can get wet and did not notify the person, a complaint is valid. FedEx may not do much, but a police report could.
I imagine if someone sent you a nice guitar and your FedEx driver left it out in the rain and you came home to a destroyed guitar…you would complain too.

On a whim I picked up a Jackson Pro Series Marty Friedman to bang around and take on jams, made in China I know but surprisingly pretty good fit and finish overall. The tuners are garbage and so far I'm not fan of the pickups so I'll either decide to change those or let it go. The neck feels really good on this thing.

Couldn't be more accurate to the truth. Is a coincidence the 2 people who actually seem butthurt over someone considering filing a complaint for someone not doing their job are current or former disgruntled employees who deal with the public.

I actually deal somewhat in "customer service" and part of my job consists of submitting client complaints. Get them a lot but I guess the difference is my company actually listens to them and makes changes to better the client experience.

If you are referring to me, I actually love my job and find it very rewarding (both mentally and financially). BTW I just checked my CSI#'s ytd and my customer satisfaction is at 96.4%. With 92% being the benchmark I'd say I do pretty good.

I ordered a $1600 Dell laptop for one of my bosses.....Fedex supposedly "delivered" it here at my office on a Sunday.....and my office is closed every Sunday. It was signed for by "MMMORE" ......no one who works here has this name so who knows what the fuck happened.

I had to file a police report and all kind of shit before Dell would even entertain the idea that I wasn't making the whole thing up. After submitting a copy of the report and waiting several days I finally got notification that Dell will send us a refund. Still haven't gotten the refund yet by the way.

So yeah, it's been almost two months since I first placed the order and as of right now we are still out $1,600

This is the kind of shit that happens with this signature fuckery. The driver should not make a delivery unless it is actually signed for by the person who placed the order (me)

Signature required is important to me due to PayPal rules. I pay extra for that if the sale I make is over $500, and it assures me the right person got the package. Having the driver "sign for me" isn't acceptable under any circumstances, IMO. There could be damage to the package, and if the driver signs for it without you, the recipient, checking, you'll lose in any kind of claim or dispute.

So yeah, go to USPS, file a complaint. Nothing may come of it, but at least it will be on record you protested.

I've got two Scumnicos lost by USPS right now for a client in Australia. I have to replace both of those for free, pay the replacement shipping of $188, and file a complaint to get my insured value back and my shipping costs. That's close to $750 USD.

I see no reason to cut USPS any slack for not doing what they charged me for and didn't do, do you?

Most of what I’ve bought lately came UPS signature required. These were inexpensive items, for my vehicles. I simply went into UPS and changed it to ‘ok to leave’. If I didn’t they’d put a notice on my door and try again the next day. At that point, it’s on me if it gets stolen. 50$ sway bar links, I’m ok with that risk. But not with any piece of gear worth thousands

Feel free to report me. I was banned by the new lame owner for saying the word "gay" in a joking manner after over a decade on here while some of the posts here get out of control with no action so I really dont care tbh.

Remade an accnt for the classifieds, I sold my Fortin in a day and the monomyth is staying so there really would be nothing missed. This place has definitely gone to shit over the years and other places are a bit more mature and respectful so I really couldn't give many fucks.
