Tried one at a friend's house last week and I just received mine today. Sounds tits with my Shiva on the gain channel (HP with volume full, gain at "zero", and tone straight up).

Definately an aggressive pedal and just what i was looking for. Everything else I tried just made the Shiva's gain channel a compressed mess.

Yes, definitely a pedal that works well almost every amp. I have a version 3 (I think at least).

Good stuff. It works with a ton of amps too. I read here about running them at 18V, instead of 9, been real happy with it

I've got several of them, One of my favorite pedals. 18v is a subtle difference, but it's a very noticeable subtle difference that I think sounds MUCH better.

You just run a 18v battery instead or is there a mod involved?

I have a Dunlop brick on my pedalboard and it's got 18v jacks on it. It's more open sounding and even less compressed.

Very nice Im going to get one soon and try it :)

I had a 2nd gen OCD for 3 years and loved it. I heard the 4th gen is the best sounding.

You can also use the voodoo labs pwr supply, and it comes with a cable that jumpers 2 9V outputs to 18V. (pedal pwr 2 plus) The voodoo cables are all the same length though, so its a little tricky if your trying to cover a lot of real estate. I had to get all my powerd stuff near each other. my board(s) are a mess, but it works for me. I dont move it

I got the OCD v.4, I bought it like three weeks ago and it completely changed my rig. I'm not using my amp's dirt channel anymore, the OCD became the heart of my gear. It changed my amp, made it more open and alive. I cannot find the right words to describe how nice the OCD helped me improve my tone. This is one stomp box that I won't be selling as I'm sure it will sound stellar with any amps out there.

Wonderful piece of gear.

Mokaccino... I think we will have to meet! :D

I heard enough about that OCD and now I gotta try one 'stie!

Anyone compared a Barber Direct Drive to the OCD? Just curious..

Man, it's a good thing you don't move it...if you gigged with that, I'd feel sorry for you or your tech :D Makes me think of the crazy massive pedalboard buddy from Mars Volta has....

Oh and how dare you take the little alligator off, of all things ;)

How about the OCD vs. a TIM or Timmy?

I compared a version 4 OCD to a Boss SD-1 MIJ on Paiges Avenger. I actually liked the SD-1 better. I found the OCD on HP setting mushed the amp up a little bit. And in the Mark V i could never use the OCD on HP, i had to leave it on LP and use it as a clean boost.

I sold the OCD to Brad. I thought it was ok, but didn't like it enough to keep it.

Not comparable, imo.
I put the OCD in the TS category.

Interesting. I find the Tube Screamer to be VERY compressed compared to the TIM/Timmy.

It is.
I find the OCD the same.
Personally, I've owned 3 OCD's and can't stand them. :(
I don't like any Fulltone products in fact.
