He plays in Tori Kelly's band i believe. He is most famous from youtube/instagram. He is an unbelievable guitar player. Makes a ton of sense for Suhr to lock him up. Great advertisement to a younger generation that may not know about suhr.

This is the year of the YouTuber getting the sig guitar. Besides Mateus you also have Tom Quayle and Martin Miller getting signatures. Pete Thorn’s was last year. We’ll likely see Rick Graham get one very soon.

It makes perfect sense. The sig guitar derived from companies signing on guitarist that play in front of hundreds of thousands of fans as a form of advertising. Youtubers far surpass those numbers so it only makes sense.

Advertising is going the way of the YouTuber since it’s cheaper, reaches far greater numbers, and the magazine business is just about dead.

Good for him. He is the cleanest finger pick'in guy I've ever seen. His precision is amazing.

To be fair Pete is best known to a lot of people from youtube but the guy is pretty much always touring nationally and internationally with somebody including some fairly big names in pop / rock in various countries. That gets guitars in front of audiences.

I've been following Pete for years and am fully aware of his touring credentials but I'm not to suhr (hahaha! I had to) he would have a signature guitar based on that alone. It's the numbers that follow him on YouTube that really sold him. There's many other hired guns that tour more often and with bigger names that don't get the signature model.

Fair point, was just saying he's not just a youtube guy

"Another youtube guy" -- nah, just another amazing guitar player.

He's fully deserving. I toured with him back in October - I was playing for the support artist whilst he played for Jessie J - and he is a bonafide monster. Lovely guy, killer killer player. He had the prototype out on tour and it's beyond good.

Love the Pink one especially.
