Taking a shot in the dark here. After 12+ years getting my tubes primarily from one place and after a negative experience with that individual, I want to look elsewhere for some glass. I know several of you have really highly quality 12ax7 stashes.
I want to spend no more than $200. I just need 2-3 high quality 12ax7’s. So far, my favorite NOS 12ax7’s are short plate GE’s. Those have been very reliable. If it matters, these tubes are for a Granger 5036 amp Curt is building for me now. So, the amp these will go in is all Marshall DNA.
Looking forward to seeing what you guys have and what you’re willing to part with. At a decent price, of course.
