Damn, we was really melodic towards the end of Far Beyond...

Thanks for posting.

Cool.

At 9:00 it looked like one of the audience members was holding his ears?

enjoyed his show in San Francisco a few days ago

with those sideburns he kinda looks like a long haired Elvis

He's got to be one of the best players of all time. Feeling, chops and a true mastery.

Completely agree.

I'm going to go against the grain here and suggest that he sounded like shit in this clip. His tone sounds god aweful and buzzy and his playing and feel are all over the place. He's rushing as many notes as he can into his playing without letting anything breathe. Furthermore, the audience doesn't even care! Look at them , they are honestly thinking " what is this? who is this guy??" The only cool part was the acoustic and violin jam. That was tasteful. I've been off the Yngwie bandwagon as of late. Still love his vibrato and earlier body of work but geesh, he's getting sloppy here.

I was doing the same thing at about 2:00.  Can only take so much of that widdly, widdly shit. :D

I think he's made a nice career out of playing crappy tunes highlighted by really fast harmonic minor/diminished flourishes with some high notes and wide vibrato thrown in once in a while to suggest "feel". You certainly know what you're going to get when you listen to Yngwie. Unlike the past 25 years, he did manage to show us something different in this video: sloppiness.

I can't believe people still give a fuck about him.

My feelings exactly. Dug the acoustic part with violinist in the park but everything else was the same ol' same ol', except with a shittier tone. The audience wasn't a rock audience, just a TV audience. I'm sure they knew who he was but weren't necessarily fans.

I saw him here in Chicago last week for the 3rd time. He throws out more picks than anyone I've ever seen. He goes through atlest one clip on his microphone for EACH song. The tech is constantly running out to restock them.

Am I the only one who was searching the picnic table for a fried banana bacon peanut butter sammich? I think I saw some donuts though. . .

His transmutation into shredding's "Elvis '77" is nearly complete.

I've never seen so many women in one place not having any fun.

THIS

You'd have more luck finding girls that were into the music at a Rush show.. I remember Sotto saying that being in Yngwie's band was fun if you liked playing for dudes night after night..

All of the sudden I'm hungry.

A lot of haters in this forum, he plays the same thing over and over, he is sloppy here, on and on. He has done a few things very few on this board can take claim to. Such as starting a new genre at the age of 16, pretty much having mastery of his instrument, when he plays he is not having to think, it is a part of him and he has total control. Vibrato that kicks total ass. Sure his songs are not as enjoyable as Nirvana's but you cannot shoot yourself with a donut.

Cool playing. The TV people were 0/2 on getting the names of his songs right.

No fake cabinets on his stage.

Not for nothing genius, but it's a variety show. kinda a mixed bag, know what I mean? You like little girl bands? Are you a bitch?
