I was standing next to Joe watching Yngwie play Mulcahys on Long Island back in 2008

Good old Alex Gregory. What a pompous ass. I had the misfortune of encountering him at NAMM, back in the 80's IIRC. I looked at the 7 string Strat and said who's Alex Gregory. Next thing I hear was "That's MY signature Strat. I'm an AHHHTIST." He was pissed that I didn't know who he was. NOBODY knew who he was. Total dick. I think he may be the reason Fender doesn't do 7 string Strats, something about legal crap, but I don't know for sure.

Nothing grinds my gears like guitarists that don't even write music having a giant ego.

I think Yngwie would make Stump look silly and like an imitator. For starters, he isn't as clean as Yngwie where picking is concerned and he's sloppier where certain runs are concerned. He's a good player but I'd say a guy like James Byrd was a cleaner player and had some individuality. Stump just tries to play maestro too hard and comes off sounding more like he works behind the meat counter at a deli.

New video from Joe's band came out 2 days ago.

What a mess...sounds more like he is trying to channel Rainbow and that frantic spazzy shit Blackmore started doing. The tone was also terrible and solo rushed which goes back to my point about him being a sloppy Yngwie.

Cesario Filho is literally Yngwie in his prime. Stump never played this cleanly. However, Stump does seem to play real Marshall’s, so he isn’t getting that super easy to play solid state sound and feel.
