Devildriver "Winter Kills"
Queenscryche w/Todd
Arcanium "Ontogenesis"
Scar the Martyr

Rob Zombie's Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor was my favorite offering this year... Zombie is the only artist of "old" that I will buy the new album without hearing, I haven't been disappointed in a few albums

Magnus Karlsson's "Free Fall". Just an outstanding album with great songs, stellar production, and brilliant performances from some of the finest vocalists in metal/Hardrock.

Alter Bridge's "Fortress" is at the top. Every time through is better and better. They just keep on putting out excellent hard rock.
Ayreon's "The Theory of Everything" is incredible in performances, depth, scope and production.
Agree 100% about Fortress and AB.

I'm new to Ayreon, but after hearing about them on RT, I am really digging Theory of Everything. It's fast becoming one of my faves of 2013. They are like a cross of classic Kansas and classic Dream Theater.

And although I might take some heat, I really like Hail to the King by A7F. I wasn't a fan of theirs at all 10 years ago. But another RTer highly recommended Nightmare, and I got it and like it a lot. HTTK continues A7F's move to solid riff based classic metal, and even though I don't love the singer's voice, the music overall is killer. Their lead work is interesting as well.

Off the top of my head, I'd have to say this is one of my favorite records to have been released in 2013:

OURS - "Ballet the Boxer I"

Ours truly rules, no matter what!

For me it is either
Trivium - vengence falls
Or
Soilwork - the living infinite

KSE - Disarm the Discent.
I am a kse fan, but at first I didn't really like the album and the guitar tone, but it grew on me really quick. Anytime an album gets better and better over time gets the classic label from me.

Eh.... Educated horses I thought was pretty crap. Haven't heard much from the new one though. I think he may have jumped the shark.
