I don't know if I can name a particular song. I pretty much do that over everything
I like your 2 choices. Good songs for feel and melodic playing.

For ACTUAL jamming, i.e., rambling improv:
Who Knows by Hendrix, I can go miles from shore with that one, and it's always a chance to have some fun with my octave, delay, and phaser pedals.
Likewise In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida with effects, especially doubling the organ using an octane pedal for heavy guitar lines. I like the crudeness of the Boss OC-3 with crunk drive for this, it does its own thing without my help when I stop playing, like a living thing.
I try to imagine what was going through the mind of Mr. Dolarhyde whilst playing......but not for too long......

The Green Manalishi - Old Skool Peter Green style hybrid with some Priestly moments

There’s a shitload of backing tracks on Youtube, specific keys and genres. I usually just pick a key and click on a random one hoping it’ll pull me out of my comfort zone a bit. Elevated Jam Tracks is a good channel for it.

I just put on a basic 4/4 drum beat, set the tempo, and play whatever rhythms over that.

On youtube, Elevated Jam Tracks is the man. He has tracks in every key in a wide range of styles and keeps making new ones. I've been practicing really hard to up my improv game and he's been an invaluable resource.
