I picked up a Wylde guitar at guitar center about a year ago when I was returning something. Just to check build quality. It was $999 and felt like $199.

The best album he ever did was Pride and Glory. How he went from that band to BLS I'll never understand.

BLS has alot of great songs. have you really listened to very much of it? some of his piano songs are remniscent of elton f'n john lol....the guy's a good musician.
i've also seen him posting videos of himself just playing guitar on his facebook almost daily that are pretty great. so i don't really understand why people say he can't play worth a damn anymore lol....maybe they just don't like him? which is fine lol...but they guy's a good musician.

I never said he wasn't worth a damn, and I agree he's a great musician. I will conceede that I haven't listeed to a lot of BLS. I do own one of their live dvds, and I've heard enough of the band to know that I just prefer Pride and Glory. It's more my speed. I guess my comment is more along of the biker gang image and the more basic style riffing he adopted in BLS rather than his actual ability to play. He's always been able to play, but for a long time now he just goes warp speed in every single song, even the ballads. I respect his speed and accuracy. I can't do it. I just wish he'd slow down more here and there to make his solos more of a song within a song. Imho, he did that more in his younger days than he does now.

This! I'm as critical as the next guy of guitar players that I really like and Zakk still brings it. I follow his twitter page and he posts himself playing the classics and plays all of his old stuff from NRFTW and NMT as good as ever...and from everything I've seen of him for years is a good dude and has a great attitude.... I do NOT get the hate, I'm gonna strongly disagree with folks on this.

i don't get it either...but then this is how people have been the last 10 years everywhere i have been/worked. and i have been ALL OVER the place...people are just miserable and hate anything they think is different these days lol

Havn't been into BLS since after 1919 came out that was the last disc i actually enjoyed from him. I don't hate on him at all, just prefer not to listen the stuff he is putting out now a days.

BoS II just makes me want to listen to the original one and P&G, he has had a few years since he has actively been recording other than BoS2, so maybe he can approach writing with a little bit of freshness and get back to writing guitar for a guitar player not a guitar player trying to sing and rip it up at the same time.

Just my 2 cents, Great player regardless it just feels like some of the writing lately is a bit samey.

It's ok for people to have a different opinion than your own. That doesn't make them miserable or "haters." It seems that some people just take it personally when someone else is critical of one of their favorite guitarists.

He is a monster player but looking at it from a Sharon puppet master angle it seems like there flogging a dead horse here ...

i never said it wasn't. i'm not taking anything personal and zakk is not my favorite anything lol... i wasn't talking about you specifically. i'm just noticing how much i see people complain about things they dislike everywhere i go these days more than talk about things that they do like lol

Cool, man. My bad.

As someone who likes what he did in the past, seen him live a few times including Ozzy and BLS shows and did a tribute show to Ozzy myself...

I think Zakk has become too much of a caricature of himself nowadays. The OTT bikerimage and how BLS sounds now. I forgot the name of the song, but he 'wrote' something that is pretty much just Sabbath's "Hole in the Sky" revisited.
Plus, I don't know if you saw the movie Ted, where during the karaoke-scene Ted is mimicing 'every 90's singer' with that Eddie Vedder-intonation. That's basically how Zakk sings in BLS, but on steroids!
