Andy, your I-phone video looked a lot better than the Q3. I need to take a vid with my droid if I could just figure a way to prop it in position.

it doesnt on my laptop, for some reason youtube would not accept the hi res version,

I just got mine on Friday, been dicking around with it. Sound is pretty good, video could be better but I got it on a great deal so I'm not complaining.

Different audio settings clip, I recorded it, cut up the clips in CyberLink Powerdirector and uploaded to Youtube. Audio quality suffers from Youtube for sure. Check out the original wmv-file (20Mb)

I liked mine while I had it. The auto setting is not very good for recording guitar. You will have to decide which setting by checking the levels while playing...really depends on volume. I used the auto video feature (but make sure you get the new software loaded, if necessary). I used the bass cut feature as well. Its a cool unit, but it does have its issues.

Anybody use this fucking turd? I just got one today and I'm having nothing but trouble with it. I got it for better quality audio in my videos and quicker uploads, so far I'm seeing neither.
Jerry

LMAO!! Fucking turd he says :D I'm glad that I saw this because I was thinking about picking one up. Maybe I'll hold off until they come out with a newer version

that sounds great...if this is like the H3, you have to find the best place for it, like any other room mike. The H3 sounds great.

I got mine a few months ago. The first thing I shot was this video of Lincoln playing the Ultra into a couple of Atomic Reactor FRs:

I've been pretty happy with it.

I agree with Jerry though that his old cam seemed to sound better than the the Q3 example he provided. Maybe it's not working properly.

Yes I already discovered that, I think the Q3 gets the best tonal results when it is off axis and NOT directly in front of the amp but I need to do some more tests.

I like it. Seems to work pretty well. Have not upgraded the firmware yet.

Lower volume clip here, sound is coming from my studio monitors with cab mic'd in the other room.

Loud amp clip here...amp was on 6 camera pretty much straight on about 6 feet out.

Bow down on the first clip George...you are playing your ass off!

Made another one with my plexi. Q3 more in front of the cab but still not directly in front, PCM 44.1 16kHz, low cut on.

George, those clips sound killer and the playing is outstanding!

well after hearing all those clips I can't wait to get mine

I thought about buying one but I already had an H2.

So.......I picked up a Kodak Zi8 HD camera on sale from Amazon for $159 and use the H2 as my mic and the video I get slays the stuff I see here. Sound is about the same, but the video records in 1080p.

Recommended.

Looks like I need to go back and try again. Nice clips guys! I'm bummed because my hopes for the Q3 were to record an amp quick, edit it down if needed, and up load it in one easy step instead of the 3 or 4 steps it takes me now.

Yeah the file size is a bitch, I convert it first then upload it.

Nice playing Yoeri

I have not messed with the low cut but I agree that off axis seems to work better than straight on, I did a JVM vid and set the Q for auto and it knocked the level down pretty good but I had the amp at crap falling off the desk volumes.

Will have to try using the low sens setting next time.

I don´t use the soft that came with it but have Cyberlink PowerDirector and it works like a charm. You can totally cut up the vid, add text, make transitions and you can upload it direct to your Youtube account. Doesn´t take long either.
