Zoom releases new digital modeler

[rsm]

I remember when Zoom used to innovate...the last decade they got focused on portable recording and didn't really focus on guitar and bass as much

It's called the Zoom Nuerig (pronounced new-rig).

Estimated street price: $300; comes with NAM A2 Lite support, which isn't great. Headrush supports NAM A2 Full which has higher resolution / better sound

Oh boy, zoom. Man, that looks amazing.

well, it's on the low end, so that's not surprising. Zoom is late to getting into tis market...their digital pedals still look closer to the 00s tech vs 20's tech

On the low end for NAM A2 full, I'd probably go with a low end Headrush; on the high end, Darkglass or Fractal. Line 6 is still considering it.

There's a free software plugin for NAM A2 Tone3000, which can run standalone if anyone with an audio interface wants to try it for free, and runs full A2

Who isn't still running one of these in their chain? No doubt this new release will soon become a classic on the same level.
