He used to play this tiny bar in the town I live by. He was playing for 30-40 people. He actually mentions our town in the song “ Country Squire”.
 
Love Tyler, and believe he’s one of the best song writers out there. One of my favorite records is the Live On Red Barn Radio. Unbelievable talent

I stumbled upon him doing an acoustic cover on some live show a couple years ago and did a bit of a dive on his tunes. My faves are the solo acoustic tunes. So much heart and soul in those.
 
Tyler is cool, it's magical listening to the sound.
 
Yeah, Tyler is the man, such a great songwriter. I hope for a “real” new full length album from him soon. Purgatory is still tops IMO.

As a Kentuckian by birth though no longer by residency it’s been good to see Kentucky boys like Sturgill and Tyler lead this kind of insurgency in country music, the mainstream of which is just about the worst, most soulless and inauthentic garbage imaginable.
 
I like him. I dont like country at all but I like Whitehouse road. Haven't heard many others that I like as much as that song but he's good.
