Finally have decided to drop the coin on a amp switcher .
but which one ?
right now I'm caught between the Ampete 4x4 ..... and the da Lisle 4x4 Pro
the Ampete I'm looking at is used and would be 1250.00 to my door
the daLisle would be brand new at 1050.00 to the door
the differences I've found so far are the Ampete will let me run two cabs at once .... but doesn't have a attenuator loop .
the da Lisle will only run one cab at once but has the attenuation loop .
I don't really need midi capability ....
leaning towards the daLisle I think ... the ability to just stick my Captor in the loop is super convenient ...
anything I should know about either unit that I'm not reading about ?

All are good options. Personally, I have a KHE system which I liked because 1) it's modular and they make a lot of different units to slap together, 2) they still make an all in one unit also if you do not need a ton of switching, and 3) it is really versatile and allowed me to use a Fryette PS and run a loop with everything. I have heard a lot of positive feedback on both the Ampete and daLisle.

I saw the KHE stuff also .... I'm noticing the Ampete and the KHE being overseas is a little tougher to get .
and I do like the fact the da Lisle is made in the US .

You buy my same size as the 4x4, Delisle 12x12 with 2nd cab ability plus attenuator loop for 825 shipped and have room to grow!

you've got one for sale ?
ahhhh that doesn't have the FX Loop ..... that's a big sell for me ... to be able to run my effects loop into any of the amps

I keep looking at the KHE. I need another powerstation first

I just used the loop in my Powerstation. Just figured why cable up every loop when I just need one. Also that way I didn’t have certain effects dedicated to one amp when I might decide I want it on another.

I personally have a DeLisle 8x8 Deluxe and will eventually be getting a 12x12 Deluxe when I have the funds. I've had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever. I will advise to go a little bigger and leave some room to expand. Since you're considering the Ampete @ $1250, I'd put out the extra $50 and go for the DeLisle 8x6 Pro.

All of the amp switchers are good quality and what it really comes down to is what features you need. The biggest thing seems to be MIDI capability. In my case I didn't need MIDI switching. My main purpose was for convenience as I was tired of having to reach behind amps to move cables around. DeLisle offered everything I needed and was the best bang for the buck. The other plus is they're based in the US. I wasn't really keen on ordering from overseas.

One other thing of note for DeLisle... If you don't seen anything off the shelf that fully fits your needs they can probably do something custom for a marginal fee. Just send a message, he responds pretty quickly.

They did that for my 12x12, adding the 2nd cabinet option.

ohhhh .... nice heads up on the 8 x 6 Pro !! Thanks man ..... that's a no brainer !

I'm using the Ampete 88s switcher. Absolutely love it. Great way to speed up work flow when switching between heads and cabs or just using it to AB different tones. No regrets. Built extremely well.. no pops when switching heads or cabs. Highly recommend it!

My ampete 8x8 and 8fx shipped from California if I remember correctly. I paid in euros but I think they have a US distributor or warehouse. I'll double check my shipping box later

they ship from BAD in California

I’ve had the Ampete 444 and now have the KHE for ACS 8x4 and the AFX8. Even if you don’t use MIDI, I’d recommend you get one of these over the De Lisle simply for the direct access with the switches. Can go from amp 1 to amp 6 with the push of a single button. On the De lisle you have to use the rotary knob to dial through amps 2-5 to get from 1 to 6.

I ended up ordering the da Lisle 4x4 Pro Plus ....
like Hatter mentioned .... I'm getting one pretty much for the same reasons .... MIDI isn't really needed in my world . ( not yet anyway )
it's 99% to just let me play my different heads without having to reroute my whole setup each time .... and 4 and 4 should be plenty for me ... if anything maybe one will head will be swapped out once in a great while ... but I'd like to get down to just 4 .
Oh ... and the Pro Plus will let me run two cabs .....
thanks for the input guys !

The ones with the attenuation loop confuses me. I know on the web site and manuals it states ti use with attenuators but is that it? Is it only built for attenuation and no effects?

I use the attenuator loop on my KHE to tap a line level signal with a Bray LO-1 and then into an Eventide h90 to a Fryette 2/90/2. Great to be able to use all my amps in W/D/W. My AFX8 is for the shared loop. I would think you could probably put an FX pedal in that loop as well
