EVs cheaper to run, lol

That's fine. I'm done with it for now anyway. We'll never agree probably on what the US stance should be on energy supply/use but you keep talking about oil production and export and I'm talking about pipelines, fracking, windmills, oil, etc. policy. Plus that graph at 2020 drops to 1970 levels so. Oh well, you are happy with Bionomics evidently and that's cool.

Ok but they are ALL up ?‍♀️ Except coal, but coal was on a decline under orange Jesus too.
And that tiny blip under 1970 level, LOL c'mon man.

Monday's Energy Absurdity: America's Largest EV Charging Station is Powered by - you guessed it - Diesel

Kevin Killough at CowboyStateDaily.com has done it again, this time with an expose’ about what California EV advocates boast is the largest EV charging station in the country, the Harris Ranch Tesla Supercharging Station.

Perched at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 198 in California’s Central Valley, the Harris Ranch station boasts a total of 98 Tesla supercharger modules. For all you Texans out there, it’s sort of the EV version of a Buc-ee’s, only without the Wal-Mart-sized convenience store with all the cool souvenirs.

But the location does sport a Shell gas station on premises, and, as Kevin details in his story, that gasoline station serves not only to fill up all the ICE cars that come along, but also as camouflage for the source of power generation for all those Tesla chargers.

Here’s an excerpt:

Superchargers charge vehicles up to the 80% sweet spot in as little as 20 minutes, but to provide that kind of power for nearly 100 bays takes something solar can’t provide — diesel generators.

Investigative journalist Edward Niedermeyer discovered that the station was powered by diesel generators hidden behind a Shell station. Reporters at SF Gate tried to find out how much of the station's electricity was from the generators, but couldn’t get a response from Tesla.
The station isn’t connected to any dedicated solar farms, which means that absent the diesel generators, the station is powered by California’s grid.

Oh.

You just can’t make this stuff up, folks. Why even try, when reality is so much stranger and more absurd than fiction?

That is all.

I'd rather walk where I have to go than catch a ride in some electric fem-mobile. Anytime I see a tesla whiz by I think "there goes another weakling who can't drive a manual transmission". There is a huge draw for me to wait until they park the car so I can etch "don't be gay, vote republican" using my car KEYS on the hood. Try that with your fob, dork.

LOL

I got ya.

BTW you can do the math. If a EV has a 70kw battery, and your electic rate is $0.13 per kwh that's 70 * 0.13 = $9.1 to fill up.

Find me a gas car that fills up for $9.1 (that's not a 1980 honda civic :ROFLMAO: )
When they are done dismantleing the current baseload power plants nuclear/coal/oil/natural gas in favor of wind and solar your cheap electricity rates will be as much or more than what you are paying for fuel.......................

How soon you have forgotten the winter storm in Texas from two years ago..........................This is what happens when too much of your grid is wind and solar.....

Well, I live in Texas, and there's more to it than what you would like to think

1) Texas grid is independent, and therefore cannot import power for other states. If they interconnected with the national grid, we would have had more power to go around.

2) The natural gas valves were frozen shut, so the operators could not bring plants online

Failures across Texas’ natural gas operations and supply chains due to extreme temperatures are the most significant cause of the power crisis that has left millions of Texans without heat and electricity during the winter storm sweeping the U.S.

And lastly,

I invested in my very own solar grid, and battery storage BECAUSE OF THE FAILURE of the Texas grid in these emergencies.

I did the same thing only it was with rain water tanks. I had no potable water for a week. I was boiling 5 gallon stock pots on the fire. I only had water because I had a 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. Now I have a 1200 gallon Norwesco.

I bought a used little Honda generator for the power end of things for now.

Yeah, after that experience you get a fire lit under your ass to have a backup plan (y)

After the first day of no power nearing evening it was becoming apparent there were no rolling anything coming.

I had two empty propane tanks, I set off on a journey to find propane, and something to burn it. After many hours I found a turkey fryer on display at homedepot, and found propane at some Walmart.

Ok, so what did he change, and how did it affect inflation?

Looking at US oil exports per year, you cant say he cut production. So what was it?

Darn those pesky details!

My nextdoor neighbors drive a Tesla. They are the most libtared cuck couple you'd ever meet. The run their air conditioner in the winter when it's 45 F degrees out. They think that driving a Tesla is gonna solve the world's problems. If it were legal I would punch them in the face repeatedly every morning that I see them. They have finally figured out that I'm based and don't bow down to their lefttard gods. Now they are cordial and keep the conversation short.
And they still wear masks when they get in their Tesla. Me and my wife just look in disbelief when we see them. They are in their own little bluetard world. Like a couple of 60 year old jr high school idiots.

You sound angry dude.

Firstly, no one on this forum will be alive to experience the end of the world from climate change. If and when it happens you'll all be dead and you won't know about it. If anyone is serious about climate change then don't bother reproducing and reduce emissions that way because it's individuals collectively that drive emissions. However most people aren't that serious about it are they! So I'll take their criticism of my ICE motorcycles with a grain of salt, At least I didn't have little sprogs who also generate emissions unlike them. Even humanity finds ways to reduce emissions on an individual basis they could still increase due to population growth on a totals basis.
