I’ve never given anyone shit for not wearing a mask, or for not getting the vax, it’s not my place to do so, but I can damn sure voice my opinion on someone who claims the shit was made up, Hospital beds weren’t full, etc. that’s just Ill hearted bullshit

Yeah it’s ironic to me that the people who claim to want to protect the environment are also heavily involved in exponentially increasing the population density in Western countries where we had reached a kind of equilibrium. The EU funded a study in the last ten years that calculated desired target population densities of various European cities and regions, and these numbers were essentially the equivalent of turning cities like Vienna into Beijing - all entirely from mass migration.

I agree, and it was on pretty much every side in one way or another. The entire 2020 election season was a disturbing moment in time where you could see almost every fault line in the social landscape being deliberately agitated. The mass acceptance of social media has enabled a level of individual and group psychological manipulation that is staggering.
If you are outside of it observing, it’s very obvious and feels like you’re watching the Twilight Zone, but if you’re caught up in it you won’t see it at all. The difference between a cult (in the pejorative modern sense) and society at large is just a difference of degrees. If you understand the dynamics at play in the former, with the science of psychology, and you have the tools that give you access to people’s eyes and ears on a daily basis, you can use it to manipulate masses of people.
It doesn’t require you to control anyone or anything, only to feed into people’s natural inclinations and behaviors with the right inputs and you will get enough people going along that with the cooperation of the media and political class you can generate the impression of social movements and popular acceptance of whatever ideas. From there you’re assured results.

If people collectively avoided social media and The Gay Place it would cease to be a factor but they have you addicted because of your passions so most people maintain the FB account, the Twitter, the instagram. I'm 11 years, no FB. I got sick of d-bags I haven't seen in 25 years wishing me happy birthday once a year and that's it. Buncha damn losers.

It’s absolutely true. “Traditional media” is still part of the equation as well and always has been, but it can’t hold a candle to what is possible since almost everyone got a smart phone in their hand and spends every idle moment scrolling a social media platform. We all know people who have been sucked in and gotten fucked up by it, and though it may be in a different way, it’s boomers every bit as much as millenials and zoomers.
I have some older family members who are very intelligent in most respects, are educated and have been very successful in their professional life etc, who spent all of 2021 insisting Trump was the real President and the military was going to remove Biden any day.
I suspect that KONY 2012 thing from about a decade ago was an experiment in how to use social media to manufacture a social movement.
Without social media, you would not have promotion of the transgender movement, including and especially for children, all the way to hormones that permanently arrest maturation and irreversible surgical procedures. It’s not a coincidence that this began with publicity of Bruce Jenner during the 2015-2016 election season.
The Federal Government needs a constant agitation of the public against itself and always a new frontier in “civil rights” in order to play on the mythology it has created for itself that grants it moral authority to, ironically, become more powerful and tyrannical.
At some point in the future American history will look like Abraham Lincoln defeated the British to free Africa so black women could invent all our technology so we could defeat Adolf Hitler and Robert E Lee who were killing all the jews and LGBTQ++++ people because they were really closeted homosexuals with micropeni and just projecting.

We weren't told that. We were told masks lower the risk of catching it and the vaccine would lower the risk of severe disease. That's very different messaging. I'm going to say that probably your CDC said the same thing but I don't get my info from the CDC because I'm not American. I get it from my own country.

I recall ours saying that again the vaccine might reduce your risk of catching it but they never said you couldn't catch it. I agree with Fauci to the extent that a lot of the deaths were weighted to the unvaccinated. We were actually told the number of people who died each day for a while broken down into vaccinated vs unvaccinated. Depends on how you want to interpret "pandemic of the unvaccinated". People who were vaccinated here that caught it still had to stay at home until they were clear. I don't recall anyone suggesting they couldn't pass it on and anyway that would be ridiculous.
