Ever so offer someone be has to dig this thread or a similar thread up .

I’ll admit Kiesel dropped the ball with the op . But as far as a quality product goes , there are far fewer complaints On Kiesel than Gibson . Most people like myself are more than pleased with their Kiesel .

I’m tired of hearing “ they don’t have the mojo “. Yes their pickups suck as do all guitar manufactures pickups . Drop some bare knuckles , or WCR pups is and they can’t be beat .

My Kiesel cs6 blows the Gibson axcess it replaced into the weeds.

Pointing to another brands flaws, in this case Gibson, is not an excuse or a reason to forgive or understand Kiesel's issues here. Some of you people defend Kiesel in this matter, or others they have been involved in is ridiculous. I don't care if your spending $500 or $5000, to be treated the way Jeff Kiesel has acted in this matter, should never happen. To have an employee come here, make an account and make a statement through proxy the way he did.....A man like that, I would never want to do business with. Also your commit on all manufactures pickups "sucking", PRS, Tom Anderson, and yes, Dean, makes some incredible pickups.

I can see your point.

If you have had a great experience then I understand. But from my shoes this thread along with some others I have seen warrants me to never be willing to take the risk with Kiesel. There are SO many other manufacturers out there. Many of which have GREAT service.

If something were to go wrong with a Kiesel I ordered then you can see what I would have to deal with. No thanks.

For me, since I have been screwed a couple of times buying gear; Great service is a very important factor. I am tired of dealing with dead beats and dishonest people. Not worth any risk at all.

I do also agree with chon here. Jeff and/or his people, the way they handle things is their business not Gibson's and there are guitars out there with great pickups. Especially at the Kiesel price tag.

FYI - small but true kiesel factoid - I have it on absolute verified authority that allan holdsworth NEVER EVER recorded ANY solos with his signature models.
He used them live and would occasionally use them for clean parts ONLY in the studio.
Period.

Lots of musicians only use their sig stuff live. At least he uses them live ;)

I think a lot of gear forumites would be quite surprised at the number of sockpuppet (the term for what you describe above) forum accounts created on said gear forums by businesses to state opinions and/or try to influence the forum masses. Hell, that goes for any kind of forum.

MetroAmp comes to mind here... ;)

Majority of the complaints I see aren't the "they don't have mojo" complaint.. They're complaints like; "I ordered a custom guitar with X specs and it showed up with Y Specs." Or "I ordered a custom guitar and it came with several glaring issues/problems." Or "I ordered a guitar and it's ready to ship, but they took off all the parts to use them for a NAMM display guitar." Or "I ordered a left hand guitar, but received a right hand guitar." or "My custom guitar came with issues, I sent it back and they can't figure out how to fix it." Or the countless bad experiences with their customer service and getting banned from their facebook group for asking for help with an order they messed up.

Why the fuck would anyone drop several thousand into a custom shop guitar, when if there's a chance it'll get messed up their customer service will belittle you, refuse to fix it, refuse to refund you, ban you from the groups and/or ban you from purchasing another Kiesel or not even be able to fix it? Why take that chance. There's no loyalty to the customer, this latest dude in the thread has 9 Kiesels and they don't give a fuck about him. Fuck that brand.

Yep, that's one.

I just got my first Kiesel build, it is a solid and well-built guitar. I did not deal with the person in the OP story, but those that I did deal with were very nice and helpful. My build also finished way ahead of schedule, which was cool!
However I have actually decided to sell it due to not being 100% happy with the specs I chose.

Unlike Tom Anderson, Suhr, Mika, and Collings, this is another thing to think about when it comes to a Kiesel. When it comes time to sell, your going to eat at least half, and they take FOREVER to sell.

Like the OP, I too have just been burnt in buying a custom-made Kiesel ICON-4 Bass and then had to deal with atrocious customer service on Jeff and his staffs part.

You don't rate a response from Jeff that is unless you are one of the few millionaire artists whom he would eat the sh-- of if they asked him, he's just a punk kid nothing more.

The best way to pay Kiesel back is to tell as many people as you can how piss poor this company actually is but most importantly to stay the hell away from buying anything Kiesel makes.

Sorry to hear you were burnt too man. I agree with ^^^ 100%.

Great observation - very telling about how someone runs something.

Like with the OP, I tried calling Jeff directly and was told he doesn't take calls.

I was like what?! Who TF does this guy think he is?

He sure took my two grand though, 'we' just don't demand a call back from him, he feels its beneath him to do so.

Let's see him pull that shit with say Jason Becker or Craig Chaquico or Allan Holdsworth or Chris Letchford, these guys probably have his home phone and personal cell phone number.

What will happen I'm sure of is, with a continuing pattern of bad customer service and bad product critiquing with the word getting out, Kiesel guitars will go the way of its Carvin amps department and become nonexistent.

Mark my words, you'll see...

I'm planning on selling my never been played bass even if I take a slight loss and buying say maybe a custom Gretsch as I should have done in the first place.

I'm sorry man, but you don't get to call the owner of a major company and demand to speak to him. In no universe are you Jason Becker or Craig Chaquico or Allan Holdsworth (R.I.P.) or Chris Letchford, his signature endorsers.

I am sorry you had a bad time with Kiesel, I really am, but thinking you are going to call up a major corporation and speak to their owner is stupid and absurd.

Actually it isn’t always that difficult to escalate a phone call to the top.

Yeah, no. You aren't calling Gibson in a tif and demanding to speak to Henry. You don't call Schecter and insist on yelling at Michael. It doesn't work that way. In any industry. No large corporation is giving their CEO or President's time to some pissed off customer on the phone. They pay people $8 an hour to deal with that.

Im sorry, but your commit is absurd..."Major Corporation"...please tell me your joking. He is a SMALL BUSINESS owner. You Kiesel fans are too funny.
