Let's not forget that TikTok is available again, so whatever supposed security threats existed before are still there and no less pressing. The only notable difference is now "Free Palestine" is flagged as hate speech. Considering the government has clearly moved towards the idea that speech, information and ideas can be dangerous, perhaps this was the problem all along. But ultimately, who cares? It's an app that American users like to use. They want to see the content and upload their own. They should be free to assume whatever risks they decide — it's their data.
