Since the rig-talk build didn't go my way I thought we could talk about the legend of James Tyler RIP. Plus @JohnnyGtar posted a cool video with some touring of the factory the other day. I enjoyed that video. I know some guys hate the headstock but there is something beautiful about it that says "up yours" to other guitarists. I kind of like that about them.

This bad boy looks like a counter top in a pimp RV. I dig it. So sweet.

How about this pink beauty? The paint is called vice vomit. The headstock is stunning in blue.

I would like it if someone would share any of their James Tyler guitar pics here. I like them but will never have that wes coast money.

I had one to install a Suhr Aldrich in.
Really cool rough orange finish.

Plus it played soooo good.

He died last August at 72 years old. I've never seen anyone playing a James Tyler who wasn't a smoking guitar player. That tells me something about his instruments.

I owned three…sold em all

Alien Guano
Ferrari Red
Ferrari Yellow

All SEHD+’s

Not for me, no thank you

I’ve already been spanked by Carl for saying this but here I am…just a glutton for punishment

Too much midrange for my taste, before the midrange boost. Terrific necks though…perfectly rolled.

My personal view is at $4k it would be a fine custom guitar. At $8k new…for a bolt on…no thanks

Suhr, imo, makes the best Strat style guitars today. But I’m not a pro, just a dude sitting in his bedroom having fun 🤝

Damn, I knew they were not in my money wheelhouse but 8 grand?
Yikes.

They do seem to hang in there in the used market (If you can find one) But what do I know.

That’s because their volume/output is lower than Suhr and anderson

The price stays up because there just not that many of them out there

But others may view this as “they are grail guitars”
