I could see Sails being a cool song to use a looper on, with that harmonic buildup before the lead starts.

I think ZW has changed the way he plays the bar of the solo right before the bend & vibrato at the end. Slowing down the Riffhard utube vid, ZW playing to a backing track, it looks like ZW is sweep-picking but he's playing downstrokes on the b & e with his LH middle finger jumping between the strings on the (15 or 17)th fret.

One of the tunes I just learned and was very difficult for me. I have it down now, but my fingertips hurt!!!

 
Not working on songs. What I am trying to do is decipher the late Mark Hitt's playing style. I cannot get a handle on any pattern or note groupings.
Shitty quality vid but he was just on another playing field.

He plays it differently than on the album.

Same as with this clip.

 
Just started working on the last 2 minutes, mainly the last two solos in Orion - I learned most of that song years ago and just never finished it and it is one I love to play along with.

I've mainly been working on composing original death metal songs and solos, improvisation work as always, too.
