Interesting...
Absolutely. Once he left and Janick came in they were left with two guys that (in comparison) are a collection of speedy licks strung together, and they lost a big part of the sound without that balance, even if I appreciate the Blackmore-ish stylings of Janick a lot more now than I did back then.
Perhaps...the Marshall JVM410H is an amp that there are a ton of mods out there for...But I think that I may prefer mine bone stock. Only had it for about 8 weeks, but I don't see a reason to mess with it yet. Also, most of the standard mods out there seem to "tame" the amp to some degree, not what I'm looking for. If Ground Zero (@RedPlated), Jason (@burger), Monomyth or one of those guys developed a mod to make to slightly meaner and more aggressive, that would interest me.I wonder if he modded them? My buddy had Amazing results modding his.
I was thinking of buying one to play with and see what I can do with it. If one comes up local for a good price I’ll get it.Perhaps...the Marshall JVM410H is an amp that there are a ton of mods out there for...But I think that I may prefer mine bone stock. Very cool...Im in Los Angeles and would be open to having you work on mine if you're potentially interested as I really like the tone and response of your Marshall mods.I was thinking of buying one to play with and see what I can do with it. If one comes up local for a good price I’ll get it.

I love Adrian! Such a badass player who always played for the song with great feel. Seriously, find me one bad solo he has ever done. One that you could say really sucks or was mailed in. There isn't one in 40 years imo. Also his stuff with Bruce, Accident of Birth is incredible. The guy is top tier.
Supposedly he mailed Powerslave in.
Yes that was "mailed in" lol
This is why he's my favorite Maiden guitarist. Sure, Dave is more unique and Janick wrote some really cool epics and has nice acoustic riffs, but Dave has high highs and low lows; Janick, less said the better... H has no lows. It's only "high" and "higher"
Isn´t that story that he was totally hungover, mistakenly thinking he wouldn´t record that day, and that Robert Palmer of all people was there watching. A very vivid image.
Yep, had a modded one and it didn't last long. The biggest waste was replacing the iron with Mercury. Nothing wrong with Mercury it's just the stock iron is fine. Thinking back now I really don't know what mods I would do to the stock 410H except what they changed functionally on the Satch model.Perhaps...the Marshall JVM410H is an amp that there are a ton of mods out there for...But I think that I may prefer mine bone stock. Makes perfect sense, and as I alluded to in an earlier post in this thread, most of the most common mods out there seem to de-claw and neuter the amp a bit (including the Satch version). That said, I would be interested in a mod that made the crunch and OD channels slightly more aggressive and "modern". And I couldn't agree more with what you are saying about the crunch channel, if the amp has a weakness...That is it.Yep, had a modded one and it didn't last long. I've long said Marshall just needs to update it with what they did to the Satch model "barring the tonal change". Tonally they tamed the hell out of that amp but I did like the gates and the serial loop.
Hmm, thinking more - I wouldn't touch OD1 orange or red or OD2 orange or red. The Crunch I'd give it more gain, less boom. I'd probably make that channel more like an 800 in green, add more gain in Orange and then Red would be the equivalent of say an SD-1 running into an 800. I mean the whole amp was based on the 800 platform and stacking layers of gain so the pieces are there.
