They are out there. You just have to be willing to pay top prices to acquire the top dog amps. Be ready to spend $5,000+ for a mod or $8,000+ for a production amp. 😳🫣🧐🤣
This^. At least that much. Economy highs and lows occur but time will make these even more valuable. Just like Morin, Jose, Ken Fischer etc….

Went to play a Trainwreck in like1991. I think it was around $1,300. Didn’t have enough gain for me so I didn’t want it. I was happy with my 67 Plexi and 71 SL. Yeah, I regret not buying a Trainwreck.

It’s like; not buying apple stock in early 90’s. How could we know? Boutique is too unpredictable.

Yeah…I’ve seen some of them in that range. The new Friedman Jose is going to make all of the Cameron’s obsolete, so it’s time to sell them to me!:sneaky::unsure:

Pretty sure a Cameron CCV pre-Brad went for 10k on here not too long ago.

A buddy of mine sold his ocean mod to cash out on the insane prices they’re fetching and replaced it with a mark V and is very happy.

One recently sold for 15k
That’s because it was a one off version where channel 1 is a ccm/aldrich ch rather than the typical lower gain channel other CCV’s come with and wouldn’t be able to command that price. At least not right now

That’s just nuts. A previous CCV owner who will stay anonymous stated they weren’t worth the 5k people were asking initially before covid.
It’s the rarity and hype they used get tons of. I had one for many years and played 5 of others. I do think they’re great amps no doubt though. If it weren’t for rarity I’d expect $4-5k to be the typical going rates for them

Personally I never cared much for the CCV's and I've probably owned more than anyone. Mark's Marshall mods were always it for me. Not all of them but there are some pretty magic sounding and most important "feeling" amps that I'm sorry I ever let go of them.
