To buy, sell, or trade in this section, you must have at least 50 posts and have two-factor authentication enabled.

They are out there. You just have to be willing to pay top prices to acquire the top dog amps. Be ready to spend $5,000+ for a mod or $8,000+ for a production amp. đŸ˜łđŸ«ŁđŸ§đŸ€Ł
This^. At least that much. Economy highs and lows occur but time will make these even more valuable. Just like Morin, Jose, Ken Fischer etc

Went to play a Trainwreck in like1991. I think it was around $1,300. Didn’t have enough gain for me so I didn’t want it. I was happy with my 67 Plexi and 71 SL. Yeah, I regret not buying a Trainwreck.

It’s like; not buying apple stock in early 90’s. How could we know? Boutique is too unpredictable.

Yeah
I’ve seen some of them in that range. The new Friedman Jose is going to make all of the Cameron’s obsolete, so it’s time to sell them to me!:sneaky::unsure:

Pretty sure a Cameron CCV pre-Brad went for 10k on here not too long ago.

A buddy of mine sold his ocean mod to cash out on the insane prices they’re fetching and replaced it with a mark V and is very happy.

One recently sold for 15k
That’s because it was a one off version where channel 1 is a ccm/aldrich ch rather than the typical lower gain channel other CCV’s come with and wouldn’t be able to command that price. At least not right now

That’s just nuts. A previous CCV owner who will stay anonymous stated they weren’t worth the 5k people were asking initially before covid.
It’s the rarity and hype they used get tons of. I had one for many years and played 5 of others. I do think they’re great amps no doubt though. If it weren’t for rarity I’d expect $4-5k to be the typical going rates for them

Personally I never cared much for the CCV's and I've probably owned more than anyone. Mark's Marshall mods were always it for me. Not all of them but there are some pretty magic sounding and most important "feeling" amps that I'm sorry I ever let go of them.

Plus 1 on this. The CCV’s never sounded as good as his Marshall mods. I always wanted to stick some Marshall transformers in my CCV. I thought that might do the trick. Still it was a pretty great amp, and I wish I had one right now. Weird enough they always sort of reminded me of a Bogner Ecstasy; but with more options and better tone. But I still liked my Jose’s better.

I bought a killer JMP Jose off you years ago. Man, I should have never let that one go

Man I must of have at least 10 modded Marshall Cameron’s and at least 6 ccv”s and a few were just epic. To this day I bet they would still would still be king at the amp offs. When Mark had a good sounding donor amp game over. If I only was smart enough to keep one or two. â˜č

Another thing w these CCV‘s, they were super hard to dial in. There were so many options you’d find something awesome but think maybe you could get something better and keep tweaking and then go where am I? I’m still waiting for my CCV from Mark actually. Oh and by the way I recently found a live video of me playing with one of my CCV’s that I threw up on the Cameron forum.
