They are out there. You just have to be willing to pay top prices to acquire the top dog amps. Be ready to spend $5,000+ for a mod or $8,000+ for a production amp.
Went to play a Trainwreck in like1991. I think it was around $1,300. Didnât have enough gain for me so I didnât want it. I was happy with my 67 Plexi and 71 SL. Yeah, I regret not buying a Trainwreck.

YeahâŠIâve seen some of them in that range. The new Friedman Jose is going to make all of the Cameronâs obsolete, so itâs time to sell them to me!

Thatâs because it was a one off version where channel 1 is a ccm/aldrich ch rather than the typical lower gain channel other CCVâs come with and wouldnât be able to command that price. At least not right now
Itâs the rarity and hype they used get tons of. I had one for many years and played 5 of others. I do think theyâre great amps no doubt though. If it werenât for rarity Iâd expect $4-5k to be the typical going rates for them
Personally I never cared much for the CCV's and I've probably owned more than anyone. Mark's Marshall mods were always it for me. Not all of them but there are some pretty magic sounding and most important "feeling" amps that I'm sorry I ever let go of them.

Plus 1 on this. The CCVâs never sounded as good as his Marshall mods. I always wanted to stick some Marshall transformers in my CCV. I thought that might do the trick. Still it was a pretty great amp, and I wish I had one right now. Weird enough they always sort of reminded me of a Bogner Ecstasy; but with more options and better tone. But I still liked my Joseâs better.

Man I must of have at least 10 modded Marshall Cameronâs and at least 6 ccvâs and a few were just epic. To this day I bet they would still would still be king at the amp offs. When Mark had a good sounding donor amp game over. If I only was smart enough to keep one or two.
Another thing w these CCVâs, they were super hard to dial in. There were so many options youâd find something awesome but think maybe you could get something better and keep tweaking and then go where am I? Iâm still waiting for my CCV from Mark actually. Oh and by the way I recently found a live video of me playing with one of my CCVâs that I threw up on the Cameron forum.
