No I don’t think so. People were still taking horse meds and having to figure out the doses themselves using metric measurements. Pretty hard to deny that without making it about something else

I'll answer you question anyway. Medicines for both human and animals require strict quality control procedures which for all accounts are equal in status. The only real difference is the governing body that's in charge of the regulations. "Animal" medicines are under the CVM and "human" medicines are under the CDER; both entities are part of the FDA.

When most people find themselves in a hole they usually stop digging. You decide to rent yourself a backhoe and keep going. You didn't ask me anything about picking up medicine at PetSmart. You asked about QC steps.
