Also, I listened to the remastered version of S.I.N. tonight, and it sounds a lot different than the original. I was never the biggest fan of the production of the original No More Tears, but this remastered version is worse. It sounds like it lost the 3-D sound the original had, and is more compressed.
Which remaster were you listening to the 1995 version where the 2002 version ? I think 2002 version sounds pretty bad, just overly loud and compressed

Well, I did not know until tonight that there was a newer version uploaded 3 years ago on Ozzy's YT channel. Honestly, it doesn't sound "horrible", but something about it sounds "generic" to me, anyway. It also sounds like they tried to remove a little bit of that early 90s polish on the album, which I'm not against. But you can judge if you like the newer mix better or not. The guitars sound bigger, but not quite the same.

I looked it up on Spotify and sure enough it’s got the current title you mentioned . I’ll give it a listen on a decent system when I have time

I just noticed that several Ozzy songs have different titles now. S.I.N. is now known as "Won't Be Coming Home", and Devil's Daughter has an extra "(Holy War)" added to the title. What's the deal here?

Awesome track but yes on the original cd it was just called S.I.N.....I was in Ozzy tribute mode and was looking to post this track and was surprised to see the title had changed, really too shook up to pay much attention to if it sounded different...."Hero" as it's called now...was also hidden track on the original cd, love that song....

No Rest for me .. Zakk is on fire the entire album. When I got it I loved how heavy it was on the back of The Ultimate Sin (which a fucking LOVE)... love tears as well but not as much as No rest

Ozzmosis was great . Just needed a couple more heavy tracks

Who picked Black Rain ? That’s a unique choice ?
No one likes Down to Earth

For me, gotta go No Rest. Aggressive tone, aggressive intro to Zakk and for the most part I like the songs better. I'm not a particular fan of the overall production on either album, just like this blanket over the production but that said did like Zakks tone on No Rest.

For some reason No More Tears just hasn't aged well for me personally. I really can't listen to it anymore whereas I can still listen to much of the stuff on No Rest.

Hero is a great song. Probably my favorite on that album.

I suspect the reason No More Tears might not have aged as well is probably again, due to the weird slick production that put on that record. The songs are very good, but the polish gets weirdly tiring sometimes on the ear. I think they did remove some of it on the remaster though.

For me also, I'm not a Randy Castillo fan either, I know alot like him but never been much of a fan. Plus his hi hats are buried on both No Rest and No More. Weird.

I hate it when someone says something like "the hi-hats are buried" because I never noticed it before and now I'll never NOT notice it again :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

NMT for me.

Though I was 12 when Ozzmosis came out and had been playing guitar for a year, it blew my fucking mind. I never heard pick scrapes and pinch harmonics like that, I remember thinking “This sounds wild!” having no clue who Zakk Wylde was. I got that album right about then and it was my first real introduction to Ozzy in the same way Balance was my first real introduction to VH, despite hearing the older songs my entire life previously.

Once I got NMT though, that’s when Zakk went from “Perry Mason sounds cool” to “Zakk’s a big influence”. Love the riffs, tones and layers of guitar on there. Absolutely love his tone on that album so damn much. Someone needs to release the Symphonic preset of the SPX90 in pedal form.

The album I want to hear, though, is the album that was written and demo’d with Vai, before Ozzmosis came out. Vai said he was tuned to C for all of it and it’s the heaviest shit he’s ever done and had a blast with Ozzy writing it, but Epic thought he was too high profile to put next to Ozzy so it’s been sitting in a vault ever since. “My Little Man” is the only thing that made it out of those sessions.

Down to Earth is probably underrated, but really suffers from having no songs written by Zakk.

Zakk pitched a few songs for it but Ozzy wanted to use the songs already written, so they ended up on 1919 Eternal instead. Bleed For Me was one of them, and I feel Ozzy dropped the ball on that one.

That was me, first Ozzy album I ever listened to so picked it to be sentimental more than anything. Always loved Black Sabbath but never knew a single Ozzy song that wasn't Crazy Train before Black Rain came out, which was shortly after I started getting into metal.

Truthfully though there isn't a single Ozzy album I listen to through and through, its really more like 3 songs from each album.
