I always loved some Lillian Axe

Grew up listening to them. Same hometown. Always thought they should have been a bigger band.
Agree. I saw them play in Shreveport/Bossier area a few times back in the day. Really enjoyed their stuff.

Great band. They had a really good sound, great singer. Fields of Yesterday is a great record that I wish was a bit more polished. If it was produced like Poetic Justice would be awesome.

Ex Monroe, Louisiana here. LOVE their first couple of albums. The NLU college radio station used to play their demos with their old singer before the CDs came out. Moved to Dallas and partied w John Ster and his gf Nikki sometimes. Played gigs with Ron Taylor and Darren Delatte's bands over the years. Both are great guys. Still play one off RATT tribute gigs with their current drummer Wayne. Those first 2 cds should've been huge. MCA was signing some great bands then using them as write-off or something....

I used to absolutely love poetic justice. What a fantastic album. I actually listened to it for the first time just the other week. Still holds up.

And they came to Cowboys once. Its called something else now lol. Man that was a long time ago lol. I guess you from around these parts?
Left La in early 90. Family's still there. Always were a lot of great players there, though! David Harbour and John Hebert who both went on to play in both Chastain and King Diamond were in a rival band in Monroe. I still do rock cover gigs with Hebert every now and then. He plays in Rex from Pantera's side projects when he does them. Arms of the Sun was pretty cool, kind of a cross between AIC and The Beatles

But not to hijack... There is so much on Love and War that will still make the hair stand up on your arms. Stevie Blaze just has this way of writing stuff that kind of has this Randy Rhoades vibe mixed with Ratt that should've been huge! He's awesome!

Speaking of Ratt, Didnt Robin crosby produce Lillian Axe’s first album? Also, i found Nobodys Children album on Apple music the other day. Do you remember them? Shreveport band i think back in the day

Used to see them at the Alrosa in Columbus back in the 90’s. We opened for them at The Newport back then. If I remember correctly he had a Marshall sd1 and an ADA. They were always good, just came out a few years too late.

They used to play Savvy's in Ft.worth with Pantera (Terry Glaze era) opening for them often. Was kind of a big deal when they came thru because the chicks showed up in force for Lillian Axe. Same with Wrathchild(later Souls at Zero)...but they weren't as glam as Pantera and Lillian Axe.
