Next up, HRG RI vs the DR RI. What would you pick?
For this song i gotta go with the DR. Both sound good but the DR wins imo.

The HRG boosted was pretty brutal, but I figured guys would want to hear a comparo straight in.It also strikes me that the HRG tone would be easier to mix with a bass guitar.
...not to my knowledge? That 100 watt Mark II is awfully tempting
Are these a "limited" run?

DR gets my vote.
Sounds more open and natural than the Mark here.
Next up!
I do know of a particularly good MkV 90w head for sale in a custom color if you're interested. I used to own it, now the Guitar Center by me has it.Well shoot. I was on the verge of pulling the trigger on a Mark V 90 after dusting off my rev G the last few weeks and getting back into high gain. Now I'm torn if I should fork out another 2k and just get this HRG.. Seems like alot more hate than love for those V's out there..
Love the videos @GJgo . I'm not going to lie, I've always wanted a chrome plated DR, and love how the new ones sound. I'm fortunate to have found a really good, tight early Rev G that i've sold and bought back many times. Not sure I could justify that kind of coin on another, as my other recto experiences haven't worked out. I "think" I'd rather just have something different to add to my arsenal.
I agree- for recording. That said I think the RI may be better live, will know pretty soon. OG C+ mids have always gone from "disappeared" to "honk" for me in too narrow of a space, played in a live mix.OG for me here.
OG just sounds more dynamic between the palm mutes and the power chords making it more musical and less compressed.
