Ok, I'll swap out the nut first. This is my first guitar with the JT-6. It seems decent quality, but I don't love the feel of it. I bet I will swap in a Floyd eventually. I've already swapped in a new JB for the J-80C or whatever was in there, and that helped the tone a bit.
I've got a rare Model 5A that is awesome, except it won't stay in tune. The behind-the-nut locking nut is just garbage. Has anyone added a Floyd nut to one? How about locking tuners?
I have a Jackson Kelly KE3 (MIJ) neck that I'd like to swap onto a Charvel Model 4 body. They seem to bolt up just fine, but the Kelly neck seems to sit a little higher than I remember. Are they compatible?
If you want something similar for way less money, I fully recommend one of these-

I had a white one for a time, and it played really well.
Pains me to agree, being a lifelong fan of his, but it's true. I'm just not sure he really has that much more to say beyond what he's been doing his whole life. I think that's why he didn't get the Dio gig....he just couldn't bring what they needed. Probably too laid back, not enough fire or...
I got a Specific Ocean San Dimas recently that has become my main gigging axe. Other than it being a little heavy (close to 9lbs), it's pretty much perfect. The neck fits me to a T. I can fly around on that guitar, and the most surprising thing was how good and usable the split coil tones were...
I like the Vela bag, but do you notice you have to retune every time you take the guitar out? That's my only issue with the bag. I've never had that problem before, but this one will move the tuners while it is in there.
And I absolutely will grab the lighter gig bag every time versus a...
I wish I could give my impression, but since a self-proclaimed IIC+ expert said I don't know anything because I haven't owned more than one, I guess I better just not say anything. You have to be part of a cult to have an opinion on these.
Actually, I'm interested, and I appreciated Don playing the same thing for each setting. I can tell a lot with something that simple. I don't need to hear someone demoing how shred-tastic they are when I'm trying to hear what the amp actually does. This was the best demo so far for my purposes...
You'll notice all 18 of that fuckers posts are in this thread alone.
He might have had less if I didn't bother fucking with him, but I digress.
Sorry gentlemen, I should have taken the high road. My apologies.
