I set the return to about 3 o'clock and leave it alone. I use the masters in the front (clean, be, and HBE I had installed) to adjust the overall volume.
I echo this sentiment. Dave's a stand up guy and makes incredible amps. I've had my BE100 for over 6 months, and it still puts a smile on my face every time I plug in.
I have a pair of the mules in my Les Paul. Great all-around PAF pickup, but if you're looking for a hotter pickup, you'll need to look at some of the other bk's people have suggested.
I'm thinking about building a junction box to clean up my pedal board. It will have 4 ins and 4 outs. It seems straightforward enough to build (a Hammond box, 8 switchcraft #11 jacks, and some wire), but I've never done it before. Has anyone made one and, if so, are their any tips you can...
I've had a BE100 for a few months, and I love it. However, I haven't been completely satisfied with my cab, a Marshall 1960ax with greenbacks. I had been thinking about getting a Friedman cab for a few weeks when yesterday I spotted one for sale on craigslist at a great price. It even had the...
Congrats on the new amp. I've had the same experience as you. I love playing the BE100. Every time I plug in, I am blown away with how good it sounds. This amp deserves all the praise it receives.
Wow, this thread sure went off the rails fast. I don't know Pete or rockinchippy, but I always appreciate their videos and their willingness to share their knowledge with fellow gear geeks such as myself.
I've been playing my BE100 through a Marshall 1960ax with greenbacks. I really like the tone of the greenbacks, but they lack some punch and low end tightness. Does the addition of the two V30s in the Friedman cab tighten it up and add the punch and tighter bass I'm after? If so, I might have to...
Thanks for the input. Delron22, you hit on what I don't like about the 498T--too hot and harsh. I'll look into the SD antiquity. I'm interested to hear which Motorcity's Dave likes as well.
Docster, the Riff Raff/Mule combo is exactly what I'm considering. It's good to hear you like it.

I'm looking at getting some new pickups for my 1997 Les Paul Standard. I use a BE100. I've never been happy with the stock 490R/498T. I'm interested in the Bare Knuckle mule and possibly the riff raff. I need something that goes from a nice clean to hard rock. Does anyone have experience with...
