Nope. In all my years living in apartments, never once have I been shocked through my equipment (other than the aforementioned capacitor discharge episode, which was my own damn fault for being dumb). My last apartment was also old with some bad wiring, and I never got so much as a static jolt...
...So, I recently moved into a new apartment and have been getting shocked when playing guitar. Not when I'm just wailing, but rather when I complete an electrical circuit by touching the metal switch chain of my overhead light, or any exposed metal on my heat radiators (it's an old building)...
I bought it used on eBay. I just assumed that it would be an EH2 since it's the two channel version, but I understand it was always just Event Horizon before the EH3 came out, and I made a bad ASSumption :)
Any PWE love here?
Edit: changed the title since I guess the EH2 is going to be new compared to the original EH? Am I wrong? Seems there is a lot of fuzzy info about PWE amps these days...
I agree with everyone on here that I really did not like Spencer's vox. I will say that he definitely has the skills, but he needs to take his tampon out somethin' fierce. This is not Boys-2-Periphery...
I do love me a good death growl, but I'm talking Mikael Akerfeld style, I AM SATAN kind...

Listening to it now... what I find interesting are the guest appearances of none other than Guthrie Govan and John Petrucci.
I haven't compared the two, but I really did not like the BKP HD in my alder Suhr Pro S1. It had this weird cocked wah thing going on in that guitar (very thick, though). I ended up putting the Suhr SSV back in and put the BKP in my mahogany/maple top G&L Legacy. It kills in that guitar...
I don't play out much these days and I still wouldn't think of buying a guitar without installing strap locks. I've had straps fall off regular buttons way too often not to.
Thanks!
Well, I can't comment on the loop on the Mark IV, but my Guytron's FX loop is excellent and I still wasn't happy running 4CM with the 11R like I was with the Axe FX. The ADDA converters on the AFX were clearly better to my ears and didn't add any bizarre buffering tone coloration that...
So I decided to put together a solo project just to see if I could pull it off. I picked up an 11R + ERXP on Friday along with a used Ibanez ErgoDyne bass (the wood version, not Luthite). So far I'm really digging it.
I'm not prepared to do a full review, but I'm definitely going to keep it...
Does it do this without tone-suck? And yes, I'm well aware that pickups pick up EMI. It's just a lot more annoying since my old apartment was quiet as a mouse.
So I have my new music room put together, but I've noticed a significant amount of hum that wasn't at my old apartment. I'm not really sure if it's EMI or if it's a ground loop. Obviously it's worse with gain.
Basically, everything audio is silent until I turn up the volume on my guitar...
You know, I certainly understand where Cliff is coming from. This is absolutely, however, 100% the wrong way to convey this info. If you don't want people to bitch, don't host a discussion forum. Bitching and forums go hand in hand.
EDIT: Does anyone have a link to the actual post?
I feel I should point out that every time I see a thread like this, people fail to mention the benefits of lower-efficiency speakers. There's a big difference between a 97dB/1m speaker and a 100dB/1m speaker. The lower the dB rating, the more you should be able to goose the powertubes in...
Based on a post Cliff made after the announcement, it sounds like the first order will be "large" and the second will be "even larger" based on how successful the release is. And really, who are we kidding? Just look at all the Ultras that flooded eBay Sunday night. The real question is what...
