I'll be playing this song tonight at a gig. It's one of my favorite solo's, now having said that and watching this video I can honestly say that I noodle my ass off through most of the solo.
My mojo lays in a puddle of piss... Guess it's time to really learn this solo.
Great job Mark!
Hey Bob,
Hope all is well with you in NY.
That loop is line level so stomp boxes are a no go. Drop me an email and I'll be able to hook you up with a local tech if you are interested in adjusting that loop for pedals.
Cheers,
Mike
Hey Mike,
I still have the purple Cali modded JMP. That is...
Just scored a Hot Rod 50+ in mint condition. This thing sounds incredible w/ a light boost pushing the front. My loop requirements are basic. Just slight delay and I use a barber EQ pedal to boost my leads. It is esential that I can boost my leads so that is a must.
Now I haven't had a chance...
Great info. Wish i had the coin for a Slo, but the Fortin has been my main amp for gigging. I have an original CCV 100, but at this point I can't see taking this into the shit holes we play in.
I've been thinking of picking up a Soldano Hot Rod 50/50+ for an alternative amp to use for gigs and band practices. I love my 100 watt Fortin Cali mod, but would like the opportunity to use something else from time to time. Will the Hot Rod even hold a candle to the Cali Mod? I've never had the...
I've been through many OD pedals and the one thats stood the test of time is the Barber Direct Drive pedal. I liked it so much I bought the Super Sport version.
Love my EB Axis. I've had this guitar for approximely 8yrs and it hangs w/ all my GMW's. I'm a huge GMW guy so that is saying something. I'll also add that the axis requires alot less neck tweaking then my GMW's. My only complaint is the small frets.
Played an outdoor gig where my amp felt and sounded like it was stuck in the mud. No sustain just lifeless. Continued to get worse through the gig. Thought it was a tube issue, but couldn't recreate what happened at that event. Eventually came to the conclusion that is was a house power issue...
Worked well for me. I'm the original owner of the third CCV-100. It's unfortunate that Mark struggled getting this line going, but glad to see that it's finally going to happen.
glpg80- Thanks for the info.
I swapped out the magnet in the dimarzio super distortion for a alnico 5. Works as you described. Tames the high end and is definetly more open. Doesn't clean up very well, but the dynamics are great and imo has an improved musical quality.
As far as the...
Actually my number one pu I've been considering. I have it in one of my other GMW's and it works great. It's not as open as I'd like, but still does everything else really well.
I've got a great playing GMW w/ an ebony fret board alder body. The guitar is dominant in the high end, obviously attributed to the ebony board. Currently their is a super distortion in the bridge. I play through a marshall Cali mod so I can get all the saturation I need from the amp. I'm...
You could cut glass w/ the opening riff to High N Dry- ment in a good way. I've been trying to get the guys in the band to buy into the old Lep stuff. We play "Pour Some Sugar On Me" because it gets the girls on the dance floor, but I want to let it ripp w/ High N Dry or Let It Go.
