I use my old Boogie Studio .22+ for that...great little amp that does 80's metal very well. And it has enough nuts to play small clubs if needed. I was asked to turn down a little bit at an open jam last week at a local club and I wasn't even mic'ed up...just used the amps 12" black shadow.

yea they are a brutal little amp! or try solid state stuff.....i think my SS gear sounds far better at home....there isnt any tubes to drive hard.........ive only benefited from tubes in a studio and playing on stages
