I like 'em. You have to turn the volume up and lower the gain (or not). lower volumes they kind of sound flubby, but when you put the throttle down, they sound better. I used TAD6L6GCSTR, my volume and gain looked like this... \ / .. :lol: :LOL: .. I went to an EVH cab, dry, then used the line...

Using 6l6GC's, dropped the voltage to 95 VAC, DC voltage is 362.. should I use 30/362= .0828. 83x.6= 49.8, 83x.7=58.1. So I can set my bias between 50 and 58ma idle?

It seemed to make the amp a little looser. The bass is a little stiff normally, which is killer, but not always what I want. when I hit it with more volume, I could turn the gain back and get more power tube saturation, without incus destruction. The in room volume wasn't nowhere near what it...

My stuff is out of date, but I use a focuserite saffire 6, because it was USB, and Ableton LIVE 8.2.1 for program. BUT since my computer decided I needed Windows 10 instead of 7 (somehow on it's own), it is ssssslllllloooooooooOOooowww. Now I need a new computer, Interface and program upgrade...

Yup, I do sometimes, sounds good man! Love blues/rock licks! :rock: I usually go BE100 variac'd to 100, speaker out to rockcrusher, rockcrusher to one cab, line out to fx or straight to 6505+ return then another cab. Believe it or not, I went with a 6l6gc in my BE, and it opened a whole new world.
