Another vote for the TC Nova System. You can find them used for $250. I think they recently lowered the retail price on these units as well if you'd rather go for a new one with a warranty. :thumbsup:

Don't bother! I got it today and recorded with it. It's super crispy and bright. I took a look at the frequency response chart that came with the mic and it was COMPLETELY different than the one I saw online and made my purchase decision from. This goes back up on Ebay ASAP! :thumbsdown:

I just ordered an Audix D2 and a Heil PR20. They both start boosting at 1kHz and start rolling off at 5kHz. Flat by 10kHz. They also boost 150Hz 2 or 3dB. I'm hoping these will capture the mids that I feel I've been missing. This matches up well to the frequency response of my V30 speakers. I...

I think I'm going to get the Radial Reamp JCR passive box. http://www.radialeng.com/jcr.php The Two Notes Reload is great, but it requires WOS and I'm running an older Mac. So keeping the DSP in my C.A.B is a better solution for me.
