Roughly $15,000 grand all up, including PA gear I think.

I sold off a bit of stuff too when funds were short.

But music equipment costs a lot in Australia, including secondhand stuff.

I think the single most expensive thing I have is the GigRig Pro14 pedalboard loop switcher. That was £1,000, equivalent to $3,000 AUD at the time.

Not very much and I'm selling 2 amps. For me playing gigs and writing music with my band is much more fun than buying gear and it's really slowed my purchases.

I plead the 5th..

Never ever put gear value numbers up on the net that your wife can use against you later

I have all my gear cataloged and serial numbered in a spread sheet, with year purchased, price paid, price new, and price now. Even buying most of my gear used, it was eye opening when I added it all up. I do play guitar, bass, keys, sax, clarinet, and drums, so it adds up pretty quickly.

I have been wanting to pair down a bit, but right now the gear I might sell is worth more to me than the current market.

Not that much compared to most gear freaks. I got very good deals on most of my gear used.

2 guitars - $1,250
1 amp - $1,550
2 cabs - $850 (one cab is a piece of junk)
3 pedals and one being built as we speak (the only "new" item I have) - $300
AX8 - $1,250

After I get a cheap monitor and expression pedal I'm looking at another $300 or so.

So roughly $5,500 after I get a monitor. I truly hope I am done (besides more guitars) after this next purchase. My collection is put to complete shame by many of you haha.

I'd still really like to try a Suhr Koko Boost V1 at some point but I really can't think of anything else I need. I do miss my VHT Pitbull quite a bit and would love to try a Gemini and a Kemper at some point. Maybe some high end monitors for the FRFR. Who knows?

Fender USA Tele used- $500
Late 70's Bassman head used- $400
4x12 used - $200
2 delays and a Micro Boost used- $150

That's it.

Far too much - I have something like 40 guitars so if we're talking how much I could generate from selling it all, I figure it's easiest to guess that I could get 2k each (some much more, a few much less), plus 3 amps, two 4x12s and effects at maybe 5k at today's prices. So circa 80-90k.. yikes LOL

Pretty sure either my ex-wife or my current girlfriend sent you here to ask that question. So I am going to answer accordingly...

I have about $200 in my entire setup. Yes,all those amps and guitars only cost me $200. You can't prove otherwise. ( calling my insurance provider to remind her about our "non-disclosure" agreement next )

Over $40,000. Probably closer to $50. I have not added it up in about five years.

around 10 grand, but in the past it has been much higher.

I've got way less into my two used SLO's combined than my friend has into his brand new R9. I remind of that whenever he tells me he hates his amp. He gets even more miffed when he thinks my $200 Warmoth partscaster sounds better thru his amp than his Historic does.

OP I have that much tied up just in guitars- and I only have 4 of them. If you think about it too much you will realize just how fucking stupid it is... but it is fun in the end.

I don't think its Stupid AT ALL> I support your collection and I aspire to be like you..oh wait I am

I try not not think about how much I have spent but more about how much I enjoy playing it all! I use it all live a few times per month. Not that this justifies anything but I feel I get more of my moneys worth when doing that.

I won't say the exact number, but it's five figures and I track all spending and selling over $50 in an excel spreadsheet. It's handy when I decide to sell something, so I know where my bottom line price is, and if I made a loss or gain on that item.

Sold most of my stuff off last year to buy a Motor Home and went full time   that was a LOT of stuff

So roughly 15k again

Out of all the amps, effects and guitars I sold off I only miss my Bogner 20th Xtc.

I was going to sell it all and by an '09 Vet but ended up with a Mini Cooper, Victory King Pin and custom built car/toy hauler

If you enjoy it and can do it then have at it.

I really don't have anything tied up in my gear unless I forget to coil my instrument cables when I'm done jamming. Sometimes if I have to screw around with the back of the rack, it gets a bit messy.

I think in dollar figures, it's enough to finish paying off my house.

Hi there,
I wasn't planning to put it all here but I was kinda curious myself to see how much money I've put into all of this. This kinda explain why I'm always poor... lol. Note that this is the price I paid and not the original value.

Marshall DSL100h: 700$
Valvetech amp: 1200$
Pedalboard: 2500$
Cab 2x12 Diezel: 500$
Cab 2x12 shity home made: 200$
Custom guitar 1: 2330$
Custom guitar 2: 2280$
Computer and recording 2000$

So About 11K$. I'm good to stop spending on gear for a while now. I'm kinda fed up of it anyways lol I think its more important to start playing and composing music than working all the time to enjoy 30min of music with awesome gear...

My two Les Paul and one Suhr already cost me 10k already.
