Well I am sad to say I missed it, I did briefly get to check out the clip but did not really get to give it a listen.

Was going to come back and really listen because I love guitar noods.

Either way, good or bad. I just want to give friendly advice.

You are on a forum, there is always going to be both negative and positive.

If you can not handle the worst of the worst (which trust me dude, you haven't seen anything in this thread) than just do not post it up.

I myself have a very difficult time resolving songs/going into changes and I have been playing for about 20 years and consider myself well above par. Defintely not the best by any means but I can play.

My point is everyone has a weakness and I find it best to take the critisism and embrace it, use it to your advantage. If you have the time, try to work on it and get better.

I just do not have the time any more to do so but I try not to get pissed off if someone doesn't like my shit.

Yes it can hurt but such as life.

I complimented his technique and tone and offered some politely worded, constructive criticism about the song he posted, as he requested. He then issued a passive aggressive attack about me not understanding different styles of music, which was completely uncalled for. He eventually attacked my clips and playing for no reason other than his own defensiveness and butt hurt.

As far as your thinly veiled threat that I won't be able to sell amps if I provide requested, constructive and politely worded feedback on a clip posted to a public forum and then defend myself when I'm attacked, well, so be it. I'm just going to have to believe that enough people can see the difference between myself as an individual expressing my opinion politely and attacking someone. I wouldn't expect you to be able to do that based on your behavior here, of course.

I've gotten great constructive criticism from many folks here when I've posted stuff as well. Especially early on when we were doing forum jams based on backing tracks and a lot of people participated. I always appreciated it and used the thoughts to help me get better where I could... It was always cool because no one was trying to be mean spirited and you also got some positive things with the criticism... Why ask for thoughts if you don't want to hear what you could improve?

I do think Rigtalk has changed from where it was a few years ago.

I don't spend much time here or on the web when the weather is nice.
