I see a twist on the PPIMV in that JTM45. Was it already like that or did you add it? I did similar in a power scaled amp I built and it worked so well it rendered the power scaling almost useless.

Yeah, it was already in the amp when I got it. I liked the sound of it with my mods so I left it in.
It looks like a Ken Fischer style PPIMV, sounds pretty good in this amp.

Yep, the power scaled amp I put it in was an Express 'clone', which is now a Komet circuit.

Very nice!!

How does it sound??

Ahhh, another happy customer. :D

It's nice to see a video of one of my amps being play by someone other than myself. :)

How much to put an rt mod on a SLPx?

I usually charge around $350 an amp but that all depends on what the customer wants and the condition of the amp.
A lot of amps that come my way have had previous mods and need to be removed. This involves more work to be done and can slightly increase the cost a bit.

Kinda cool for about 10 minutes but just not my thing. The power scaling is a bit tricky to dial in (you have to tweak the PPIMV everytime you adjust the power scaling knob because the overload point changes with the voltage). All for just a tiny bit better tone due to the 'perfect' (if you dial it in perfect) amount of power amp crunch/smoothing.

If I just add a ppimv to a SLP x will it have a good tight sound with an of in front of it?

I've never had much luck with this setup but with a PPIMV and good OD pedal you might get some good results.
