I see a twist on the PPIMV in that JTM45. Was it already like that or did you add it? I did similar in a power scaled amp I built and it worked so well it rendered the power scaling almost useless.

Yeah, it was already in the amp when I got it. I liked the sound of it with my mods so I left it in.

I usually charge around $350 an amp but that all depends on what the customer wants and the condition of the amp.
A lot of amps that come my way have had previous mods and need to be removed. This involves more work to be done and can slightly increase the cost a bit.

Kinda cool for about 10 minutes but just not my thing. The power scaling is a bit tricky to dial in (you have to tweak the PPIMV everytime you adjust the power scaling knob because the overload point changes with the voltage). All for just a tiny bit better tone due to the 'perfect' (if you dial it in perfect) amount of power amp crunch/smoothing.
